The event celebrating Italian-American heritage was held on Saturday 14 October and this year was attended by President Joe Biden, who unexpectedly arrived together with First Lady Jill Biden, who in her speech expressed her pride in her Italian-American origins and recalled the important contribution of the first Italian immigrants to the growth of the USA.
Among the many guests, political, economic, and cultural leaders, stand out the names of Stefano Bonaccini, President of Emilia Romagna, Region of Honour 2023, as well as awardees Gerry Cardinale, founder and managing partner RedBird Capital Partners, Stefano Domenicali, CEO Formula 1, Veronica Berti Bocelli, VP of the Andrea Bocelli Foundation, Neil Giraldo, musician and Dr. Sara Farnetti, scientist.
